Wet Electrostatic Precipitator (WESP) -
Made by HUGO PETERSEN
For more than 50 years, HUGO PETERSEN has been successfully developing and installing wet electrostatic precipitators in industry. Wet electrostatic precipitators are generally considered the best available technology for the removal of acid mists as well as submicron solid particles from a gas stream.
By delivering a negative electrical charge (electrons) from the emission electrode by means of high voltage of up to 110 KV, the gas molecules are ionised, charging the particles. The negatively charged particles move to the grounded surface of the collecting electrode.
Wet electrostatic filter Technology
HUGO PETERSEN has been able to significantly reduce the size and cost of wet electrostatic precipitators while maintaining the desired separation efficiency through a unique design concept for both discharge and collecting electrodes. In addition, a simple but effective system ensures uniform gas distribution across the pipes. A key feature is to ensure the highest efficiency and lowest pressure drop of the unit.
